Welcome to my Page
Hi, My name is James Bennett “Jim” to my friends, I took up photography in the seventies, My first camera was a Zenit-E SLR and I taught myself from books I read, and I even developed my own film, those were the days were you got your hands dirty not like today were its all done on the computer but if it was not for the computer I probably would never have got back into photography, I like to photograph wildlife today! But I will take anything I fancy at the time its just a shame we don’t have a wide variety like other place’s around the world or is it just here were I live! Anyways that’s enough from me, so lets get on with the site and hope you all pop back sometime and see how I’m getting on.

Got up to a nice Sunny day, so I carried on with the gardening, I finished the boarder ready for seeding but first I’m am going to make sure the cats can’t use it as a latrine, I already have a box of mixed flower seeds so these are going in there hopefully to attract more insects this year. I also cleaned the pond of dead growth and took the weeds out. I did notice the other night a couple of frogs have appeared and the newts too so it won’t be long before we see some spawn, I’m not sure if I am going to take the spawn out like I did last year it was hard work looking after hundreds of tadpoles but at least the newts didn’t finish them all off.

It’s not been at all nice today, its been very overcast and cold, so it looks like I will be staying in today and having a rest for a change, and the garden can wait a little longer too.

Took the camera to work, tried to get a picture of the Collard Dove on her nest, she must have eggs down because she has not moved off the nest for the last four days now, I will try again next week if the weather is a little brighter and she turns her head towards me.

Today has been very nice the sun has been out all day I even had time to do some gardening after I got home from work and whilst I was cutting a bush back I saw a Ladybird first of the year and even got a picture of it, I thought it was a Six Spot but I found out the black just behind the head was counted as a spot too, so it's now a seven spot.
